I’m Marisa Guthrie – a UK-based business coach who supports purpose-led solopreneurs to grow thriving, values-driven businesses that centre people, planet, and integrity over hustle. My coaching is rooted in ethical marketing, meaningful growth, and building businesses that challenge exploitative norms.

A bit about me:
I am an anti-capitalist business coach and entrepreneur, based in the UK. I have been in business for thirty years working with non-profits, values-led solopreneurs and micro businesses in various capacities, including being the CEO of a health charity and the managing director of a cross party think tank.
I help entrepreneurs grow businesses that align with their values without burning out or selling out. I’ve worked with hundreds of purpose-led founders to build businesses rooted in care, intention, and impact.
I have been coaching for seventeen years, and for the last few years I have been focusing on helping my clients reframe their business within the capitalist system. Through the work that I do, I help them price ethically, build social justice into their business models, align their work with their own capacity and energy, and market and sell from a place of integrity, not by activating, but by dissolving fear and shame in their clients, and free of cynical sales practices.
I am just finishing my book The Reluctant Capitalist to speak to the body of work I have created over the years, so that solopreneurs and small enterprises can thrive in a system that was not designed for them and regain their sovereignty, while at the same time building new systems.
