Game, Set, Create: How Angela Ferdig Found Success Beyond Tennis

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Angela was placed onto a highly competitive athletic track when she immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of three. Determination and consistency led her to become a formidable contender in prestigious junior tournaments including Wimbledon, the US Open, and the French Open. Angela received a full athletic scholarship to the University of Arizona on a team ranked 4th in the NCAA. She played professionally for one year on the WTA tour before transitioning into her passion.
Upon retiring from professional tennis, Angela channeled her competitive spirit and creative instincts into the dynamic world of visual arts. As an art director at graphic design firms in South Florida, she lent her creativity to prominent brands like KPMG and the former US Surgeon General, Dr. Koop. Her journey led her to the thriving film industry in Los Angeles, where she carved out a niche art directing commercial. Her creative and the ability to work well under pressure with large teams added a unique touch of calm chaos to each project she undertook including several Super Bowl campaigns and work with well-known brands like BMW, AT&T, and Revlon.
Entrepreneurship soon beckoned, leading Angela to establish Learning Tees, a children's organic clothing line that gained traction across the United States, Canada, and Australia. The brand's promise caught the attention of Target, however, the timing coincided with Angela's maternal responsibilities, making it a challenging endeavor.
With an unwavering passion for design and a heart for helping others succeed, Angela embarked on a new chapter in her career. She founded her own design firm, Bien Hecho Creative, where she channels her diverse experiences and talents to empower small businesses to curate authentic, impactful visual identities. Her unique approach, merging her athletic tenacity with her creative finesse, has garnered her a reputation as a visionary mentor and brand identity expert that clients come to fully trust.
